Un día como hoy (2 de noviembre) pero de 1975, murió Pier Paolo Pasolini. Su asesinato sigue estando en circunstancias no aclaradas.

Fue un poeta, novelista, ensayista, dramaturgo y director de cine italiano; el mayor reconocimiento se debió a las películas que filmó como por ejemplo: Il Vangelo secondo Matteo (El Evangelio según Mateo), Il Decameron (El Decamerón),  Il fiore delle Mille e una notte (Las mil y una noches) y Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma (Saló o los 120 días de Sodoma). Su poesía se destaca por la búsqueda de justicia y el reconocimiento de su falta en el mundo del siglo XX; entre sus libros de poesía más destacados se encuentran Le ceneri di Gramsci (Las cenizas de Gramsci), La religione del mio tempo (La religión de mi tiempo) y Poesia in forma di rosa (Poesía en forma de rosa).

Al principe

Se torna il sole, se discende la sera,

se la notte ha un sapore di notti future,

se un pomeriggio di pioggia sembra tornare

da tempi troppo amati e mai avuti del tutto,

io non sono più felice, né di goderne né di soffrirne:

non sento più, davanti a me, tutta la vita…

Per essere poeti bisogna avere molto tempo:

ore e ore di solitudine sono il solo modo

perché si formi qualcosa, che è forza, abbandono,

vizio, libertà, per dare stile al caos.

Io tempo ormai ne ho poco: per colpa della morte

che viene avanti, al tramonto della gioventù.

Ma per colpa anche di questo nostro mondo umano,

che ai poveri toglie il pane, ai poeti la pace.

Si regresa el sol, si cae la tarde,

si la noche tiene un sabor de noches futuras,

si una tarde de lluvia parece regresar

de tiempos muy amados mas nunca del todo poseídos,

ya no alcanzo felicidad alguna en gozarlos o sufrirlos:

ya no siento delante de mí toda la vida…

Para ser poeta se debe tener mucho tiempo:

horas y horas de soledad son el único modo

para producir algo, que es fuerza, abandono,

vicio, libertad, para dar estilo al caos.

Yo, ahora, tengo poco tiempo: por culpa de la muerte

que se aproxima, en el ocaso de la juventud.

Pero por culpa, también, de este mundo humano

que al pobre le quita el pan, y a los poetas la paz.
